Red Hot Red Carpet

Lions and Tigers and Dumpsters, Oh My!

Last Month- on a rainy Cinco De Mayo night- I had the pleasure of presenting the award for the best Hair and Makeup artist in the Indieville Awards show.  It was a great night  highlighting local independent artists in Nashville. I was also thrilled to see my friends band: The Neverhawks give a face melting performance.  But beyond all that- I was pretty freakin excited to rock the red carpet in an $8 Goodwill dress that was Fire AF (amirite?) I had so much fun chatting with the lovely Krista Graham about my thrifted look (including my shoes which were almost lost when I did my “Thrifted Shoes in the Wild” piece.) Check out our interview below.  The Purse is one of my favorite vintage finds- I snagged it when I was around 18 at “Thrift Town” in San Francisco and it’s been a great love of my life ever since.  The Coat isn’t thrifted- but do I get extra credit that I’ve owned it for over 10 years? I think the bottom line here is that I was able to rock the red carpet for under $15 in some shoes that I left overnight in a log.  #winning

Show me your best special event thrifted wins- I want to see them!

Love and Thrift,
