Birmingham Love Affair

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of shooting some delightful promotional images for a bookstore that I can share with you come October.  This meant I got to take a little road trip to Birmingham where I discovered a weeks worth of Art Magic in about 30 minutes.  Those of you who follow me on Snapchat (britelightfire) and the new Instagram Stories Update-  know that I kept my self (and hopefully all of you)  pretty darn entertained in my 6 hours of driving.  The scene on set at the Phoenix Lofts was super fun as well. Photographer Jason Wallis was such a pleasure to work with and Celine Russell graced my face with her beautiful work.

I had a short time to explore the darling Birmingham Theatre District and found so many little gems!

After the shoot, on a whim, I decided to take the stairs instead of the elevator.  Little did I know the magic that would unfold before me.  The below photos are a few snippets of the 6  floors of continuous Street Art hidden within the Phoenix Lofts. I wish I could have stayed there all day- it was so incredible.

And I couldn’t have asked for a better farewell to this beautiful city than this meaningful city pledge- painted for all to see.

Birmingham-  I feel that this love affair has just begun… so much beauty in so little time.  I cannot wait to go back.

Love and Thrift,

Elisabeth
