This past weekend at the Nashville Flea Market I spent $12 and walked away with treasure galore!! My first find was a Vintage Singer Sewing machine for $5 ( I was told later by an appraiser that just one specific piece of it was worth $150)
Then I really scored at the Gimme a 5 booth where they had bins filled with vintage for $1 each. I found a silk dress fro the eighties which I knew would be a totally amazing upcycle project- but little did I know just how hilariously inspiring this dress was going to be. I created a fantastic little video tutorial for this one and had so much fun! Not only is it super adorable and funny- but- if you are a beginner in sewing- there are some really great tips! If you don’t want to learn all about sewing- just skip the middle to see how the dress turned out in the end (and you seriously don’t want to miss my dance party at the very end- soon funny)

After some 365DOT Upcycling magic- here is the final result! Now I just need a date to wear it on!

I like it alot my issue is what if you are a bigger size and you want things to comlpement your size?

I totally hear that Crystal- and I will do a plus size feature soon just for you. ❤️ The beauty of uncycling is that you can customize your new design to fit YOUR body type 💃🏼 So you look for your “before” piece in a size that works for you and then modify it into a shape that works well for your body type. What types of dress shapes and cuts work best on your body type?
