How $35 turned into Leather Boots, a Mad Men Coat, 3 tops and a skirt. Autumns’s First Time Thrifting Part 2

Remember when Autumn went thrifting for her first time ever? Well, The story wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t share her $35 Goodwill jackpot with you.

Started at the bottom now we here… (yes- we got the backpack and vintage thermos case too)

Autumn is a 5 ft 0′  100 lb North Easterner about to run her SIXTH! Marathon (the Deception Pass trail Marathon)! She also has more sass than a room full of 12 year olds. (5 minutes after I read this too her she said, “Oh yea!  I’m a fucking fireball!”)  After working in high end retail for over 10 years with a closet full of Lululemon, and Louis Vuitton bags- We ventured into the land of thrift and things got pretty wild. (Watch our adventure Here)

For those of you who don’t know- you can actually get a Rewards card at Goodwill- and for every 10 points you earn- you get $25 off.  Autum was determined to stay within her budget of $50- so we stripped down some items  and when I threw in my rewards card- she was lucky enough to snag the $25 off!  So in total- she got all the the clothes you see below- PLUS a great new white pillow case, an amazing backpack and a cute little rug; all for $35!! The Goodwill Jackpot was indeed struck!

I also love how this post demonstrates that you can be super petite and still reap the rewards of thrifted fashion.

This jacket is the type of Goodwill find that I live for.  A London Fog vintage coat straight out of it’s heyday from the Mad Men Era.  Perfect colors, classic appeal, with those sweet vintage vibes that you can’t replicate in present time.  This sort of piece is exactly why you should all be shopping at Goodwill. Period.

It’s actually just amazing that all of this was only $35.  I’d love to hear about your best Thrift Haul! Till next time…

Love and Thrift,

Elisabeth
